Dispute Resolution
The Dispute Resolution Section addresses issues that are relevant to both mediation and arbitration, and acts as a resource for practicing mediators, arbitrators and attorneys who utilize alternative dispute resolution.
The Section presents one of the few opportunities for North Carolina dispute resolution professionals to share experiences and learn from one another. The section works with the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission, which is responsible for certifying and regulating mediators in North Carolina State Court programs, thereby enabling section members input into policies that affect all mediators. Affiliate membership in the Dispute Resolution Section is open to non-lawyer mediators.
