Thomas C. Worth Jr. was Honored for Outstanding Professional Performance

The Zoning, Planning & Land Use Section is made up of attorneys and paralegals in private and local governmental practice who routinely handle matters related to land use, zoning, zoning litigation and environmental regulations affecting the development of land. On April 28 at the Bar Center, the section presented its Award of Excellence to Thomas C. Worth Jr. for his outstanding work and commitment to land use matters. It was a fantastic evening honoring Thomas’s commitment to the highest ethical standards, professional and outstanding work regarding land use matters and a long-term commitment to significant land use matters and issues.

The establishment of the Zoning, Planning & Land Use Section coincided with the expansion of zoning and land use law as a growing specialty among members of the bar. Concurrently, the pace of real estate development in North Carolina and the growing body of regulations by local governments has created significant opportunities for attorneys practicing in the zoning and land use area.
