Professional Wellness Committee

Formed in July 2018, the Professional Wellness Committee’s (PWC) mission is to curate resources and activities to help attorneys infuse health and wellness activities into their successful law practices. With an increasingly complex and competitive marketplace, lawyers and their staff need to arm themselves with tools and resources to better adapt to the pressures of the profession. Lawyers instinctively want to help others and often work tirelessly to serve the needs of their clients. This innate drive of service and sometimes misguided perfection can lead to neglect of one’s own physical wellbeing and mental health. With that in mind, the Professional Wellness Committee seeks to spotlight educational resources to help those working in the legal profession incorporate healthier habits into their work life.

The Transitioning Lawyers Commission (TLC) is a sub-group of Professional Wellness Committee.

Julie Beavers and Sarah Nagae are serving as PWC Co-Chairs for the 2018-19 bar year. Holly Morris is the NCBA staff liaison.
