The Construction Law Section focuses on issues such as public and private contracting, development, insurance and claims, mechanics’ liens and bonds, construction defects, OSHA compliance and subcontracting. The section also provides members with two CLE courses each year, sponsors its own CLE programs and helps mold NCBA’s legislative agenda for presentation to the General Assembly and construction law forms.
Members receive discounted CLE opportunities, access to a members-only online community forum and invitations to networking socials, panel discussions and Lunch & Learns. The section also offers practice-specific blogs, legislative and policy updates, ethics guidance and opportunities to engage in pro bono work, providing meaningful ways to grow professionally while supporting the broader legal community.
