NCBA Annual Meeting June 23-24 In Winston-Salem

The North Carolina Bar Association will hold its 2022 Annual Meeting on June 23-24 at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, marking the first time this event has been held in person since 2019.

Clayton D. Morgan of Raleigh will be installed as the 128th president of the NCBA, succeeding Jon Heyl of Charlotte. Morgan will also serve as president of the North Carolina Bar Foundation in 2022-23.

The installation will take place on Friday evening, June 24, in conjunction with the annual awards dinner. Presentation of the H. Brent McKnight Renaissance Lawyer Award, Distinguished Paralegal Award, Citizen Lawyer Awards, Pro Bono Awards and Young Lawyers Division Awards will be conducted during the awards dinner, as well as installation of new members of the Legal Practice (formerly General Practice) Hall of Fame.

A special awards ceremony is also scheduled for Thursday evening, June 23, during which the seventh installment of the Legal Legends of Color will be recognized by the NCBA Minorities in the Profession Committee.

The 2022 NCBA Annual Meeting will also include commemoration of Legal Aid of North Carolina’s 20th anniversary, law school receptions, a judicial independence symposium, and much, much more.
