Annual/Major Gifts Director Appointed
The North Carolina Bar Foundation (NCBF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Louise Harris as director of annual and major gifts, effective June 4.
Harris has served since 2002 as a development officer at the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she has held the titles of assistant dean for alumni and external relations, regional director for advancement and, most recently, assistant dean for development. She is a native of North Carolina and 1994 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill.
“Louise is an experienced fundraiser who is passionate about the charitable mission of the North Carolina Bar Foundation,” said NCBF Senior Director Kim Bart Mullikin. “Her many years of experience working with attorneys across the state will benefit the Foundation’s fundraising efforts and further its mission to unite the talent and generosity of the profession to be a power of greater good for the people of North Carolina.”
Harris possesses an extensive resume devoted to working in higher education alumni relations, development and volunteer leadership management with institutions in the Triangle. She also served two years as a member of the senior protocol team for the 2002 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Salt Lake City.
“I am looking forward to partnering with the team at the North Carolina Bar Foundation,” Harris said, “to further engage lawyers across North Carolina to raise awareness of the great things the legal profession does to impact the people and communities of this great state every day.”
