Parker Named CLE Director

Vaddrick Parker

The North Carolina Bar Association has named Vaddrick Parker to serve as Director of Continuing Legal Education. The appointment is effective July 31.

Parker comes to the NCBA from EDM Americas, Inc. in Raleigh, where he served as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary.

A native of Halifax County, Parker received his bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University and graduated with honors from North Carolina Central University School of Law. He also holds an MBA from Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business and is a U.S. Air Force veteran.

“We are excited that Vaddrick is joining us to lead our CLE Department,” said Executive Director Jason Hensley. “Vaddrick brings insight into multiple practice settings and a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be tremendous assets to the NCBA as we work to further enhance our outstanding CLE programming and to shape our vision for the future of CLE.”

Parker’s name will ring familiar with a good number of NCBA members. He has been a member of the NCBA and its Corporate Counsel and Business Law sections since 2004, and presently serves on the Corporate Counsel Section Council.

Parker spent several years practicing business and corporate law prior to joining EDM Americas. He was honored in 2015 as a recipient of the Triangle Business Journal’s Corporate Counsel of the Year Award.

The North Carolina Bar Association is the leading provider of continuing legal education in North Carolina. Its programs are planned and presented by NCBA members – practicing attorneys and paralegals – with local perspective and a commitment to excellence.
